Help your one of a kind child thrive
Navigate the IEP and school system process to get your child the education they deserve
You love your child more than anything.
It can be difficult and defeating to get your child the education and support they deserve.
Navigating the ups and downs both at school and at home is overwhelming and can deplete your resources as a parent.
We help families just like yours understand and advocate throughout the IEP process so that your child and family can thrive.

Hi, I’m Emma Siemasko.
One of a Kind Advocacy Group is led by me and backed by a small, nimble team. We specialize in helping families of preschool and elementary-aged neurodivergent children with the navigation of a diagnosis as well as the IEP process.
Our approach is to see every child as an individual rather than a diagnosis, as each one has a unique “one of a kind” profile that we support and celebrate. I am well-versed in IEPs, 504s, and IDEA and completed COPAA’s Special Education Advocate Training (SEAT) 1.0.
Our Values
-
Focused on the individual
There is no one size fits all. Services, accommodations, and placement need to be customized to the individual child. IEPs should not be copy & paste based on diagnosis or past experience.
-
Family-first
The family's well-being matters as a whole, not just the child’s. Issues with schooling– especially missed days, suspensions, burnt out kids, or early pick ups, can create stress for all parties. Family harmony is top of mind.
-
Realistic
Parents, teachers, advocates, and district managers needs to have reasonable expectations for what's realistically possible. There is no perfect, but there is reasonable and good.
-
Knowledgeable and Respectful
We are knowledgeable about IEPs, 504s, special education law, and other therapies and services, yet we don’t know everything. We are respectful to every expert– parents, school and district staff, other advocates, and attorneys.
